At the Vancouver Art Gallery, Sanctuary is an ‘exhibition within an exhibition’

In May, an ambitious new exhibition opened at the Vancouver Art Gallery (VAG) that reimagines the role of art and artists in a time of climate change.

Organized by the museum’s curator at large, Eva Respini, Future Geographies: Art in the Century of Climate Change brings international artists alongside works rooted in the context of British Columbia. The art is grounded with climate science through a series of videos collaboratively produced with the University of British Columbia’s Climate Action Labs.
